As Major Projects Team (MPT) Regional Manager for the Americas region you will be responsible for directing and managing strategic pursuits with select Greenfield and Brownfield expansion mine sites throughout the planning and bid lifecycle in collaboration with dealers and internal Caterpillar stakeholders. In addition you will shape business development opportunities and other growth strategies by delivering strong financial results through successful capture efforts.
What you will do:
Ongoing development of the Major Projects Team focused on the identification project management & of large commercial opportunities.
Development of engagement documentation financial and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling and leadership status updates for major projects.
Be a trusted partner of the Americas region and collaborate with them to develop and monitor large brownfield expansion and greenfield mine sites.
Support large mine site analysis and commercial reviews including presentations to Resource Industries (RI) Senior Leaders.
Drive awareness to active and potential MPT engagements through the quarterly and annual alignment process.
Establish good working relationships with sales executives and senior management with dealers and customers.
Conduct market and competitive analysis to ascertain competition levels and understand industry trends.
Prepare sales proposals and spearhead the opportunities to close.
What skills you will have:
Value Selling: Strong understanding of the mining value chain mining operations and mining applications. Broad company knowledge and a good understanding of sales models including financial modeling and/or sales management experience. Understanding of our deal financial analysis process and the impact commercial opportunities have on our shortterm and longterm goals for Resource Industries.
Strategic Thinking:An ability to take current issues and challenges with a Customer/commercial opportunity identify longerterm solutions and then build a plan in the short medium and long term to get delivered.
Effective Communications: Superior communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to provide regular effective updates to regions dealers and RI Leadership and a keen attention to detail and the ability to adapt the message to the audience in all situations. Executivelevel communication.
Customer Focus: An understanding of Customer needs perspectives and pain points for a commercial opportunity. Consistent evaluation of the impact our decisions and performance have on the customer experience. Strong understanding of Mining applications.
Critical Thinking & Decision Making: An ability to think through positives and negatives (risks) in all solution ideas gain alignment and methodically decide in a factbased way the best solution.
Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools techniques and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion goal or judgment. Experience working with offerings (Equipment Technology Support and Solutions) that address the needs of Mining Customers at the equipment system site and enterprise levels.
Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Relationship Management: Maintaining credibility in the regions with dealers and customers and in the broader Cat organization through strong interaction and excellent followthrough on commitments and communication.Dealer and customerfacing experience. Successfully managed a team of direct reports with strong leadership capabilities.

Summary Pay Range:
$169320.00 $253920.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjobrelated knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
