Job Description
The PPC Assistant Manager will support the planning scheduling and control of production processes within the sheet metal manufacturing sector. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure optimal production flow efficiency and adherence to delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules based on customer orders inventory levels and resource availability.
- Material Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods coordinating with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in production processes and work towards enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.
- Collaboration: Liaise with engineering quality control and sales teams to ensure alignment on production goals and customer requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze production reports KPIs and other relevant data to track performance and inform decisionmaking.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor junior staff within the PPC team fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety quality and operational standards in all production activities.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering Production Management or related field.
- Experience: Minimum X years of experience in production planning and control preferably in the sheet metal industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems MS Office Suite and production planning software.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to assess production processes and implement improvements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with crossfunctional teams.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Leadership skills with a focus on team development and motivation.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
- Office and factory floor environment requiring regular interaction with production teams.
- May require occasional overtime to meet production deadlines.
Our client is a Metal products manufacturing company with an Inhouse Design Sampling and Production setup. They have the capability of manufacturing small components to largescale metal products. Having 25 yrs of a successful track record of manufacturing and marketing products in India and overseas. They recently commissioned a worldclass stateoftheart fully automatic PSBB Production Line from Italy as part of their growth and diversification plans. The material flow of Punching Shearing Buffering and Bending system PSBB can be automated with different modules to manufacture Sheet Metal Components and sheet metal equipment to be supplied to small medium large scale and Multinational Consumer and Industrial Equipment manufacturers across India. Sprawling over 1.5 Lac sqft of area the two factories have a workforce of more than 500 people in different departments.
