Your role
The Procurement Director is
- a key contributor in the team to support Digital Realtys strategy for procurement and supplier management in support of construction projects across Europe.
- responsible for identifying and developing the strategies to lower costs and increase value through strategic sourcing
- a leadership position within the Global Supply Chain organization
The Procurement Director is an important driver in the implementation and achievement of the companys strategy focusing on supplier strategies and thought leadership to build unique and differentiated value propositions in the markets where we operate ensuring continued success of Digital Realtys number 1 market position in EMEA.
The role works across functional units and contributes to the realization of savings and efficiencies related to improvements in supplier cost quality and delivery of equipment for data center infrastructure.
This role works at a high autonomy level but must also work in close collaboration with other members of the Global Supply Chain team other business leaders and Design Engineering & Construction team members.
What youll do
- Provide leadership in strategic sourcing of critical equipment to support Design Engineering & Construction.
- Align with key stakeholders to drive savings through sourcing and negotiation in support of data center construction projects across Europe.
- Develop and manage critical supplier relationships increasing performance in delivery and service. Oversight of all procurement and supply chain activities related to Design Engineering & Construction in Europe.
- Be a key team member and leader in developing and executing the Supply Chain & Procurement strategic plan.
- Oversight of supplier business reviews and developing performance improvement plans based on annual surveys.
- Forecasting equipment requirements based on construction schedule in alignment with Design Engineering and Construction.
- Support effort to make the procuretopay process more efficient.
- Support new technology implementations related to Supply Chain & Procurement.
What youll need
- Over 10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain
- Successful track record of negotiation and savings for highly technical operations and capital equipment
- Extensive knowledge of contracts and legal terms supporting construction projects
- Skilled in managing supplier relationships aligned with global procurement strategies.
- Degree required: MBA or University Degree in engineering business or supply chain or other relevant discipline
