Job Description

The Nursing Department at Saint Josephs College of Maine is seeking Clinical Instructors to teach Clinical Student groups in Maine for the Fall 2025 semester. This position is for our Traditional on campus program.

Successful candidates will have a Masters Degree in Nursing or a BSN degree with current enrollment in an MSN program or a minimum of 2 years of experience; a current Maine license in good standing; and teaching experience with traditional undergraduate nursing students preferred or precepting and orienting staff nurses. The nursing department is looking for individuals with experience in medicalsurgical nursing maternalchild nursing and mental health nursing.

This is an ongoing recruitment effort as needs change each semester.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSN
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care or enrolled in a MSN program
  • Expertise in medical surgical maternity or mental health nursing
  • Team player
  • Demonstrates an appreciation for the needs of the novice student nurse
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Flexibility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MSN
  • Experience precepting or orienting staff nurses
  • Experience supervising nursing students in the clinical setting
