Job Description
Position Available:
Paralegal
Legal Aid of Western Ohio Inc. (LAWO) a nonprofit law firm that provides free legal help in civil legal matters to eligible individuals and groups in western Ohio seeks a paralegalto join our team and provide services to survivors of domestic violence sexual and stalking in our Stability and Independence for Survivors Practice Group. This position will be based out of one of LAWOs seven offices (Dayton Defiance Findlay Lima Sandusky Springfield Toledo).
Requirements: Excellent organizational and communication skills; experience with case management software; ability to relate well to people living in poverty; understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and its impact on parenting; and a commitment to highquality legal services are required. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively have experience working with domestic violence survivors and have familiarity with family and juvenile court procedures.
