When a vacancy occurs WPI Athletics will seek parttime assistant coaches for our various varsity sport teams. Interested candidates need to complete the appropriate applicant information online. The department will directly be contacting those applicants that are under strong consideration.Please know that candidate applications will remain on file until June 30 of each year.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary duty is to assist the head coach in providing leadership and direction for all aspects of the varsity sport program including creatinga culture of compliance with NCAA rules and regulations as well as WPI university policies and procedures.This includes maintaining positive public relations for the program the department andWPI while serving as a role model for studentathletes in and out of competition.Assist in the preparation of studentathletes for competition while providing an educational environment that enhances the development of the whole studentathlete. We encourage a commitment to diversity equity and inclusion in all areas of responsibility.
- Bachelors degree required
- Collegiate coaching experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid/EAD certification preferred
- Valid drivers license required
