St. Pauls School seeks a skilled carpenter to join our facilities team. The carpenter will perform skilled finish and rough carpentry and cabinetry work in maintaining repairing and constructing furniture building fixtures and wooden frameworks for structures. Performs required duties using standard carpentry tools and powerdriven woodworking machinery. The successful candidate will be team oriented providing an emphasis on cooperation and will act as a general liaison between the Office of Facilities Management and the School community. Work assignments are received verbally or in the form of sketches blueprints or written instruction. Work is subject to inspection by supervisor and is checked visually and through discussions on difficult problems encountered. Prepares and submits requisitions for materials required to complete assigned tasks and plans work to ensure costeffective use of labor and materials.

Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates Licenses and Registrations: Valid New Hampshire drivers license required.
Other Skills and Abilities: Requires a complete understanding of all phases of the Carpentry Trade (to include casework construction) and a general knowledge of all phases of building construction. Ability to read and understand prints and shop drawings. Familiarity with various construction materials and tools. Must be able to prioritize work so that all assignments are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Must be fully competent and comfortable in the operation of computers tablets and related technology.
Special Requirements: Must be available for emergency callin and vacation approval may be limited during peak activity periods.
