The Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to manage the adjustment process of inland marine and cargo losses for the company.

  • Location: TX Houston LA New Orleans

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid 23 days in the office)

  • The salary range for this role is between $101000 $166000 depending on experience and location

Your new role

  • Investigates and resolves claims related to marine cargo and inland marine claims.

  • Management and negotiation of settlement of all claims assigned to them.

  • Assessing and determining liability for all damage loss.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and corporate service standards.

  • Maintain good client relationships and respond to critical issues effectively.

  • Monitor compliance with industry guidelines and policies.

  • Review and settle problematic cases authorize payments and handle complaints.

  • Continuous business improvement for cost efficiencies and quality service.

  • Provide periodic updates to management regarding cases being handled.

Work Experience:

Preferred Work Experience includes:

  • 10 Years of experience in the handling of cargo and inland marine claims with an extensive knowledge and familiarity of insurance policy wording.

  • Relevant working experience in the industry.

  • 10 Years of experience in a similar role.

  • Customer service and endtoend interaction management experience.

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the roles complexity its location and the candidates professional background including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary regular fulltime and parttime employees will also be eligible for QBEs annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual encourage all candidates to apply even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
