As a Field Engineering Manager you will lead a team of presales Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers. You will lead the expansion of Databricks presence in the Eastern Europe region and play a key role in hiring to grow the technical presales teams.

Your experience partnering with the sales organization will help drive revenue with the right approach whilst coaching new sales and presales teams to work together. You will guide and get involved to enhance your teams effectiveness; be an expert at communicating complex business valuefocused solutions; support complex sales cycles and build relationships with important partners in large corporations. You will report to the Sr. Manager Field Engineering.

The impact you will have:

  • Hire coach and develop the presales team in the Eastern Europe region
  • Build a motivated collaborative culture within a hypergrowth team to embody and promote Databricks customerobsessed teamwork and diverse culture
  • Support increased return on investment of SA involvement in sales cycles
  • Ensure a solution and valuebased selling within the fieldengineering organization
  • Display an understanding of needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned region
  • Engage with key customer executives to build and strengthen strategic partnerships
  • Ensure close alignment with partners and internal services to secure implementation strategies within accounts
  • Continue to build Databricks brand as a member of the Leadership team in partnership with Marketing and Sales teams across the region

What we look for:

  • Proven experience in successfully building and managing a presales team
  • Technical or consulting background either in Data Engineering Database technologies or Data Science
  • Proven experience in driving strategic planning and accurately forecast sales trends in a consumptiondriven business
  • Ability to partner and collaborate with Sales and other crossfunctional leaders
  • Success in instituting processes for technical field members to lead efficiency and Datadriven innovation
  • Passionate about data and AI market and Cloud software models and being able to deliver a strong POV on the value of Databricks solutions
  • Executive presence & strong communication skills
  • Preferred language skills: Polish Greek Rumanian Bulgarian or any EE languages
