Principal Electrical Engineer

A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Principal Electrical Engineer at MKS you will partner with a talented multidisciplinary team supplying precision vacuum pressure measurement instruments to the semiconductor medical and industrial equipment markets. Key activities will include developing and releasing products identifying product performance limitations and establishing roadmaps to improvement. This is an exciting handson role with significant growth potential.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Through a deep understanding of sensors and instrumentation identify the impediments to improved performance and develop new architectures and circuits to advance the technology.
• Troubleshoot complex issues to root cause and support the product team in resolution.
• Develop and release new vacuum sensing products that deliver market advantages in performance cost and size.
• Participate as a key member of multidisciplinary product teams with responsibility for the electronics development and release.

Skills You Bring:

• Deep technical background in lownoise electronics and precision sensors as well as significant experience with embedded microprocessors.
• Extensive experience supporting multidisciplinary products.
• Ability to logically work through challenging troubleshooting and problemsolving activities.
• Strong productlevel technical skills and some crossdiscipline experience including electronics firmware mechanical and sensors.
• Handson engineering skills capable of test development setup and .
• Good understanding of manufacturing systems and documentation control BOM structures and ECO processes.
• The person must be selfmotivated have an intense customer/product focus and work well as part of a team.
• Experience with sensors and instrumentation vacuum systems or semiconductor capital equipment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills comfortable leading technical discussions.
• BS or higher in Engineering with 6 years of experience advanced degree preferred.
