Job Description
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for aFullTime 1.00 f.t.e. Temporary Elementary Teacher at E. E. Oliver ElementarySchool. This position will commence on August 27 2025 and continuing until June 26 2026.
E. E. Oliver Elementary School is a K6 school located in the town of Fairview 560 kms northwest of Edmonton and 100 Km north of Grande Prairie. The school provides a comprehensive educational program for its students.
This position will remain open until a suitablecandidate is secured. The Peace River School Divisionthanks you for your interest in working with our division only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
Qualifications:
- Experience and/or training working with elementarychildren
- Experience and/or training in balanced literacy
- Experience with Collaborative Response
- Understanding of Response to Intervention approach to learning
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Guided Reading
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Running Records
- Strong classroom management and organization skills
- Experience and/or training with managing IEPs and individual programming
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Training in Guided Reading is considered an asset.
Requirements:
- Must hold or be eligible for a validAlberta Teaching Certificate
- Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This teaching position falls under the Collective Agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division.
Annual Salary Range:
$ 62 702 to $ 105 996(dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division).
