The Data Science & Analytics organizations mission is to increase our speed frequency and acumen of our business decisions and to empower and scale product innovations. We cover a wide area of the data spectrum including analytical data engineering product analytics experimentation causal inference statistical modeling and machine learning. Aligned and partnering with product groups we use this vast tool belt to discover new opportunities and unmet use cases influence and shape the product roadmap and prioritization build data products and measure the impact on our community of players and developers.

Our Social teams are pioneering the way users communicate and coexperience in the metaverse. As a Senior Data Scientist within our Social team youll focus on building and scaling industryleading Communication features.
You Will:
- Develop and execute strategies for improving communication and coexperience products on Roblox.
- Design experiment and quasiexperimental measurement plans to evaluate Communication products.
- Conduct metric research to understand tradeoffs between social feature engagement against safety and device performance.
- Develop opportunity sizing models metric targets and own reporting and metric narratives shared with csuite.
- Establish foundational metrics framework and reporting; partner with engineers to scale foundational datasets to drive insights
You Have:
- An Advanced or equivalent Degree in Computer Science Applied Math Physics Engineering Statistics Economics or another technical field
- 6 years of industry or equivalent experience in Data Science and Analytics
- 6 years of experience using big data query/processing languages such as SQL PostgreSQL Hive or Spark to transform/manipulate extensive datasets
- 6 years of experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python or R
- Experience building a team from scratch as an individual contributor
- Experience working with content platforms specifically usergenerated content
- The ability to use analytics results and data storytelling to influence product teams and leaders
