Key Responsibilities:

  • Hiring training and evaluating service staff (technicians service advisors).
  • Motivating and leading the team to achieve performance goals.
  • Scheduling and assigning work orders.
  • Ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Handling customer inquiries complaints and warranty issues.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction with repairs and services and is reflected in manufacturer survey metrics
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Managing the daily operations of the service department including scheduling inventory and budget.
  • Ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices.
  • Monitoring service department performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implementing and maintaining effective service processes and procedures.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Monitoring and managing the service budget and inventory.
  • Preparing financial reports and forecasts.
  • Ensuring the profitability of the service department.
  • Collaborating with other departments (e.g. parts sales) to create service promotions and marketing initiatives.
  • Overseeing and ensuring the quality of repairs and services.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Legal to work in the United States with a valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • 3 years of automotive service experience
  • 3 years of automotive management experience
  • Flexible work schedule willing to work additional hours to ensure department success
  • Computer proficient and familiar with Microsoft Business Suite (Excel/Outlook)
  • Tekion DMS Experience a plus but not required
  • KIA experience a plus but not required
  • Proven track record of fixed operations success
