If you are a Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Technologies or related field Student looking for an opportunity to grow Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Natchitoches Louisiana location you will improve your skills learned in the classroom by balancing the priorities of multiple engineering teams and projects. You will collaborate with different departments in addition to their own in areas such as Manufacturing Quality Continues Improvement etc. You will need to be willing to spend time in a manufacturing setting and be willing to work in an office setting. Your responsibilities will combine individual tasks as well as collaborative work or group projects.
AS A MECHANICAL ENGINEERING COOP RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO YOU:
- Assisting with various research testing and evaluations
- Processing documentation and conducting data analysis
- Repairing and modifying manufacturing equipment
- Attending department team and project meetings as necessary
- Assisting with process improvement projects tied to manufacturing
- Collaborating with other engineers teams and departments
REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
- Ability to work 40 hours a week during the scheduled semester
- Legal authorization to work in the United States Sponsorship for this role will not be provided
PREFERRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Undergraduate Student currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Sophomore or higher class standing
- Strong oral and written communication skills analytical and decisionmaking skills and PC skills including Microsoft Office
- Previous Coop or Intern Experience with Copeland or another company
- Reliable transportation

About Our Location
Alliance Compressors LLC develops manufactures and markets one through sixton scroll compressors. Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units. The current facility is over 365000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35000 square feet of office space. This climatecontrolled facility is the thirdlargest manufacturing business in the area and offers its 600 employees many opportunities for advancement.
