The Town of Sharon is accepting applications for a fulltime Town Engineer 40 hours/week; MW 7:30am5:00pm; Th 7:30am6:00pm; F 7:30am12:30pm). The successful candidate will play an integral role as a department head leading coordinating and/or managing the town capital project plan by providing technical and administrative direction for projects ranging from road resurfacing and water main replacement to new sidewalk design and town facility construction plan review.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinating and managing all aspects of the engineering department including GIS and septic review capital project planning design permitting and management.
Recommends develops and manages infrastructure improvements for stormwater sanitary sewer and roadways and oversees construction projects.
Reviews subdivision and development submittals and oversees construction.
Performs all other related work as required under the direction of the Superintendent of Public Works and Town Administrator.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field; minimum five 5 years experience with broadbased municipal engineering including supervision; or any equivalent combination of education training and experience. Must possess a valid drivers license and Massachusetts Professional Engineering (PE) Registration or ability to obtain within one year.
Starting Salary Range: $103975 $116850 DOQ with generous benefits including health dental vision life and disability insurance covered by the Town flexible spending accounts and retirement plans. Employee will earn a stipend for active MCPPO Designation.
