What You Will Do:
The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale AR is looking for a Special Processes Operator Plasma for AWW (Alternate Work Week) shift operations (Friday Sunday 6AM to 6:30PM). Training may occur on 1st shift. 1st shift schedule is MF 6:30AM to 3PM. Shift earns 8 shift premium after training period. Overtime opportunity may be available after a period of training. Training is provided onsite.
- Read blueprints drawings manuals specifications to determine requirements.
- Prepare parts for plasma coating.
- Set up and operate grit blaster.
- Set up and operate plasma equipment.
- Plasma coat to specifications outlined in work instructions.
- Inspect parts to verify conformance with specifications.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Maintain clean work environment
- Technical aptitude and desire to learn new skills is essential to this role.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- US Citizenship due to government contracts
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Prior experience within the aerospace industry.
- Prior experience with specialized coating application.
- CNC equipment operation.

Pratt & Whitney Springdale AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportations Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a preemployment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAAs regulation 14 CFR part 120 as well as 49 CFR part 40.
