Position Information
Adjusts tests services maintains and installs radio transmitters receivers and other communications equipment in vehicles and permanent locations; designs constructs modifies and repairs radio equipment; and performs other related duties as required.
Current Vacancies:- Three vacancies with the Honolulu Police Department Support Services Bureau
- One vacancy with the Honolulu Fire Department.

At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a noncitizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school and successful completion of a twoyear program in electronics technology from an accredited community college or technical school.Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionallyaccredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program evidence of comparability or an original transcript.
Verification Requirement: You must submit evidence of your Bachelors degree in order to be given credit. Please attach an electronic copy of your diploma and/or official transcript which shows the embossed sealor applicable FCEto your application. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three 3)years of technical work experience involving the installation maintenance repair and modification of radio communications or related equipment.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a valid drivers license (Type 3 prior to appointment.Desirable: Possession of a valid Federal Communications Commission General Radiotelephone Operator License is desirable.
