Our client is looking to add Cyber Security resources to their Vulnerability team. Location:Cincinnati OH (On Site only)
Contract Role 612 Months (with right to hire terms)
Job Title: Vulnerability Management Team Lead
Job Summary:
TheVulnerability Management (VM) Team Leadis responsible for leading a team of security professionals in identifying assessing prioritizing and remediating security vulnerabilities across an organizations IT infrastructure. The lead will develop and execute vulnerability management strategies collaborate with crossfunctional teams and ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
Lead and mentor a team of vulnerability analysts and engineers.
Develop and enhance vulnerability management strategies policies and processes.
Coordinate with IT DevOps and security teams to ensure timely remediation of
vulnerabilities.
Track and report on key vulnerability metrics to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Vulnerability Identification & Assessment:
Oversee the of vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
Analyze scan results prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk and provide actionable
remediation guidance.
Ensure continuous improvement of scanning tools and techniques to detect evolving
threats.
Remediation & Collaboration:
Work with infrastructure application and cloud teams to mitigate risks.
Develop riskbased prioritization for vulnerability remediation efforts.
Track remediation progress and enforce SLAs for vulnerability resolution.
Compliance & Reporting:
Generate reports on security posture and risk levels for executive stakeholders.
Conduct root cause analysis of recurring vulnerabilities and recommend longterm fixes.Tooling & Automation:
Manage and optimize vulnerability management tools (e.g. Tenable Qualys Rapid7.
Identify opportunities for automation in scanning reporting and remediation processes.
Stay up to date with emerging threats and new vulnerability management technologies.
Technical Expertise
Proficient in using Intune for rolling out patches and troubleshooting if needed.
Proficient in Qualys and patch management for nonMicrosoft related applications
Able to do PowerShell scripts if updates are not working with automation or in place tools.
