Our Ontario Transportation Group is looking for aLead Engineerready to join our growing Canadian Operations. The position can be located in any of ourWhitbyMarkhamTorontoMississaugaSt. Catharines orWaterloooffices. It is understood that you will primarily work remotely from your residence near London ON.
The Transportation Group within GHD Canada works with Provincial Regional and local municipal transportation agencies as well as select contracting partners on largescale projects across the whole Transportation spectrum of highways roads and bridges transit and multimodal infrastructure and transportation planning. Our team provides integrated transportation services throughout the project lifecycle from initial policy transportation economics and business case advice through planning concept environmental assessment detailed design construction administration and asset management support.
Candidates career path:
- This role is intended for a Senior Engineering Professional seeking to continue their career by providing technical leadership mentorship and guidance to our project managers engineers and technicians.
Candidates career experiences may consist of:
- Successful participation in the pursuit and delivery of roadway highway and freeway projects and/or multimodal corridors including surface LRT/BRT.
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff.
- Collaboration in small and large teams. Working with Project Managers and design teams to generate creative solutions to complex engineering and design issues.
- Leading quality reviews of projects and proposals. Working with Project Managers and design staff to deliver quality submissions on time and on budget.
- Liaising with key stakeholders and clients including participation in GHDs Key Client program (particularly MTO & City of Toronto).
- Contributing to business development and growth with key clients through the development of our organizational strategy capture planning and proposal preparation for key pursuits.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Postsecondary degree in Civil Engineering
- Ontario P.Eng. designation required
- 30 years experience in the management design and engineering of transportation infrastructure projects
- Experience and understanding of conventional and alternative infrastructure delivery models
- Experience working with MTO and municipal transportation clients within Ontario
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to develop mentor and lead professional technical staff
