Role Purpose:

At Jumio you will work for one of the market leaders in the global identity verification space that is helping to make the digital world a safer place for everyone. As a SDE II in the Connected Analytics Team you will develop the backbone of our identitycentric trust platform.

Role Value:

As a SDE II you will design and implement highperformance cost efficient search and transaction processing at scale. Youll work with vector search capabilities graph structures and distributed computing paradigms to solve challenging technical problems. Example Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop scalable asynchronous microservices using Java Spring and AWS
• Design and optimize complex search functionality including similaritybased retrieval and vector search
• Build integrations between search systems and graph data structures
• Implement costefficient enterprisescale solutions
• Collaborate in a crossfunctional distributed team for continuous system improvement
• Work with Product Managers QA Engineers and DevOps Engineers
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence

Experience and Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in software engineering with Java and Spring
• Strong experience with OpenSearch (or Elasticsearch) and advanced search concepts
• Proven experience building and operating AWS serverless architectures
• Deep understanding of eventdriven processing patterns SQS/SNS and serverless caching solutions
• Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration tools
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation
• Experience optimizing distributed systems for cost coldstart performance and scalability
• Proficiency in writing good quality & secure code and be familiar with static code analysis tools
• Excellent analytical conceptual and communication skills in spoken and written English
• Experience applying Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis

Great to have Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience with any of the following: vector search graph database Quarkus and serverless integration patterns
• Experience working in regulated industries with strict compliance requirements for cloudnative solutions
