Job Description
Dr. Dirk Loefflers research lab focuses on deciphering the mechanisms of selfrenewal and fate decisions in normal and mutant hematopoietic stem cells using quantitative singlecell dynamics.
The ideal candidate is curious selfmotivated and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A background in hematology is preferred but not required and candidates from a wide variety of fields with a genuine interest in stem cells and the origins of cancer are encouraged to apply.
You will have the opportunity to work with a young and talented interdisciplinary team to decipher the molecular mechanisms regulating normal and mutant blood stem cell behaviors and decisions.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs laboratory experiments independently using established techniques/protocols.
Sets up protocols trouble shoots experiments using new or modified laboratory techniques.
Accurately records experimental procedures and data.
Prepares and reports results/ data leading to posters presentations or publications
May provide guidance to entrylevel employees.
Performs other related duties as assigned in order to meet the goals of the department and institution
Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Minimum Education and/or Training:
A bachelors degree in a relevant scientific area is required.
Senior Researcher Minimum Experience:
Two 2 years of relevant postdegree work experience is required.
No experience is required with a Masters degree.
Researcher Minimum Experience:
no experience required.
Compensation

This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
