IMEG is growing and wed love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Senior Commissioning Authority in our Salt Lake City UT office. As a Senior Commissioning Authority you will be responsible for will be responsible for performing the full range of Commissioning (Cx) responsibilities on all building types including large complex projects in addition to leading retrocommissioning and energy assessment projects. Tasks include preparing Cx plans and specifications webbased project management and documentation (Cx Alloy) Cx design reviews lead construction meetings perform site observations develop prefunctional checklists and functional tests perform functional testing with contractors/owners issue management write Cx and related reports and post occupancy followup activities.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Manage and/or support multiple commissioning projects including client interface team coordination schedule and budget management;
• Manage a minimum contract value of $500000;
• Perform Cx reviews of construction documents and equipment submittals;
• Work effectively as a team member;
• Develop commissioning plans reports prefunctional checklists and functional performance test procedures;
• Assist with functional testing of systems;
• Contribute to improving Cx processes and best practices;
• Perform technical analysis of building operation (controls sequences etc.;
• Proactively communicate with a wide range of client stakeholders;
• Perform jobsite field observations write detailed field reports and lead Cx meetings;
• Contribute to improving Cx processes and creating best practices;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including other engineers architects and project managers to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals;
• Supervise and mentor lessexperienced employees in a teambased atmosphere.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong oral and written skills and a proven ability to interact professionally with a wide a range of clients;
• Experienced knowledge of HVAC and electrical system designs and operations;
• Experienced knowledge of building automation and lighting control systems;
• Experienced knowledge of Cx Industry Standards (ASHRAE ACG BCxA) and code requirements;
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (CEC Title 24 ASHRAE IECC IMC NEC etc.;
• Experienced in the review of construction documents (mechanical controls plumbing and electrical drawings specifications etc.;
• Experienced knowledge of electrical and fire/life safety systems;
• Knowledge of construction industry safety practices and procedures;
• Experienced in troubleshooting of field devices and control hardware and software;
• Capable of selfperforming functional testing of building MEP systems and coordinates nonstandard test scopes such as technology BECx etc;
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook;
• Skilled with PDF editors (Bluebeam Adobe) plus additional online project management software;
• Ability to travel up to 30 (travel will depend on project needs and may vary widely).

Education and experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or equivalent required;
• 7 years of experience minimum required 8 preferred in Commissioning or in the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) consulting industry or equivalent;
• 
  EngineerInTraining (EIT) certification preferred

OR

• Recognized Building Commissioning Certification preferred (or ability and desire to obtain one);
• 11 years of experience minimum required 12 preferred in Commissioning or in the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) design consulting industry or equivalent;
