Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Forecasting to lead forecasting efforts across our growing rare disease portfolio. This critical role will support strategic and operational decisionmaking across commercial finance and supply chain teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical expertise biopharmaceutical industry experience and leadership in forecasting with a particular focus in rare diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the forecasting strategy for the companys product portfolio across rare disease including inmarket products pipeline and business development opportunities.
Develop shortterm forecasts and longterm projections to support business needs including demand planning and longrange strategic planning.
Design implement and manage bestinclass forecasting models and methodologies incorporating market dynamics competitive intelligence and epidemiological trends.
Partner with crossfunctional teams including Commercial Finance Market Research Business Development and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on forecasting assumptions.
Utilize primary and secondary market data to refine forecasting approaches and drive datainformed recommendations.
Lead demand planning efforts collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure supply and inventory management aligns with commercial forecasts.
Present forecasts and insights to senior leadership providing clear recommendations and highlighting business risks and opportunities.
Lead the development and maintenance of forecasting tools dashboards and reporting systems to enable efficient and accurate forecast generation.
Monitor and evaluate forecasting performance adjusting methodologies and assumptions as necessary to enhance accuracy.
Stay current with industry trends regulatory developments and competitive landscape to anticipate shifts in market demand.
Mentor and develop direct reports fostering a culture of analytical excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Finance Economics Life Sciences or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
10 years of experience within the biopharmaceutical or adjacent industry with least 5 years of experience in forecasting.
Deep understanding of forecasting techniques methodologies and pharmaceutical market dynamics.
Strong proficiency in forecasting tools and software
Experience working with primary and secondary data sources (IQVIA Symphony Komodo DRG etc.
Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing highperforming teams.
Proven experience in people management including hiring mentoring and performance management.
Strong communication and presentation abilities with the capacity to influence senior stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100 remote.

Target Base Pay Range:
$181000.00 $235000.00*This information is current as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay offered to a candidate will depend on a variety of factors including the candidates experience education skills and location.
