Position Summary
Roy Jorgensen Associates Inc. is currently seeking a fulltime Field/Project Engineer to manage asset management operations on a comprehensive roadway maintenance project(s) in Colorado. This position will report to the RegionalManager and requires performing a wide range of responsibilities on a new asset maintenance roadway services AM/O&M contract related to mechanical/civil engineering tunnel maintenance and tunnel operations planning work scheduling/managing crews roadway repair analysis preparing project report submissions interfacing with government Clients and adherence to all applicable federal state and local regulations as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. It is required to have a technical background in engineering (mechanical civil industrial) or construction management from an ABETaccredited university. The ideal candidate must have proven experience as a leader working in an everchanging environment meticulous organizational skills adaptive and analytical problemsolving capabilities and abilities to effectively create functional teams. The position requires the candidate to work in a unique environment both in the office out on the projectsite (among field crews) and within professional organized meetings. Successful candidates for this position have a drive to develop their careers create strong teams and can remain focused in rapidly changing environments.

Responsibilities
Maintenance engineering operations on roadway/tunnel assets repair and emergency operations
Manage project office and field operations
Supervising field project inspections with annual QAQC assessments.
Coordinate financial planning and project budget projections that will assist senior managers
Track/report maintenance contract performance relative to plan contract and company targets
Work with Senior/Regional/Project Managers to develop shortterm and longterm project maintenance repair plans and technical support
Perform analyses to improve field prosecution crew efficiency and maximize operational safety
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for presentation to Client and Corporate operations centers
Reviewing and approving plans payments and change orders for contracts.
Offering technical support to other departments involved in the projects operations and maintenance.
Assisting in the planning design and production of engineering drawings and calculations.
Conducting data acquisition and analysis researching alternative design approaches and preparing reports and permit applications.
Creating business cases to evaluate the best options for highway operations.
Updating the GIS model as required.
Providing necessary training to the Maintenance Team to enhance their responsibilities.
Ensuring compliance with the O&M Measurement and Performance Tables.
Required Experience
Highly efficient organizational skills in a multifaceted longterm project environment
Minimum 13 years experience with engineering project management or team leadership
Bachelors Degree Engineering or Construction Management ABET accredited university
Ability to rapidly develop a competent understanding of technical roadway maintenance specifications
Ability to lead direct and manage field maintenance crews and office staff
Superior analytical and problemsolving skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
Effective communicator at all professional levels and styles (verbal f2f messaging phone email etc.
Ability to manage project field emergencies 24/7
Ability to analyze field accomplishment data and prepare reports statements and projections
Working knowledge of short and longterm contract budgeting and forecasting rolling budgets and revenue analysis
Preferred Experience
Engineer Intern or PE certificate with reciprocity
Computer experience with ArcGIS PowerBI Tableau CAD and/or MicroStation is preferred.
Familiarity with DOT contract operations
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Construction/Maintenance field operations professional experience
Military/Veteran leadership experience
Competent understanding of roadway maintenance and repair specifications
Technical experience with earthworks landscaping road construction bridge maintenance stormwater drainage maintenance
Qualifications
High School Diploma and College Engineering ABETaccredited Degree
Must have valid Drivers License
Competency of Microsoft Office 365 suite software
Solid organizational planning
Excellent verbal and written skills
Skill in establishing priorities and managing work loads
Ability to perform multiple nontechnical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in the order to meet changing job conditions

Employment Type and Compensation
Fulltime usually 5 days a week with some weekend and nighttime work possible. Must be flexible and available to respond to emergency related weather events and client emergencies.
