About the role
ARRCS are actively sourcing a qualifiedPersonal Care Workerto join our Home Care Team on a fulltime maximum term assignment of 6months with a possible extension.
Based out of our Darwin office and servicing clients within inner and regional Darwin your role as Personal Care Worker Home Care will see you travelling to peoples homes and providing care and support within the consumers home environment. Tasks include undertaking cleaning bed making personal care including grooming showering mobility and assisting with meals. You may also be required to assist with social support taking consumers to appointments and shopping.
As the ideal candidate you will bring previous experience in either Aged or Disability care. You will be comfortable travelling to peoples homes to provide this care and able to retain a fully insured and reliable vehicle with fullcomprehensive insurance.
You will have a caring and understanding approach whilst also able to understand a consumers careplan and delegated services provided by their My Aged Care funding. You will enjoy travelling to peoples homes and providing a service with strong customer service attitude and respect.

Skills & experience:
To be considered for this role we do ask that you submit your resume and ensure that you have the following experience:
- Certificate III in Aged Care Individual Care Disability or Home and Community Care.
- Preference to have completed the Assist Clients with Medication elective as part of your qualification.
- A current or willing to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate to the standard 3.2.2A.
- Previous experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting preferably however not essential.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and both verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment.
- An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions related to the role.
- Personal registered and insured vehicle.

- You must have a National Police Check within the last 3 months.
- Provide evidence of current Influenza Vaccination.
- NDIS Workers Screening check received or lodged.
