Collins is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician. The candidate will be responsible for managing daytoday priorities in solving clients VHF/UHF Radio Telephone Networking & PC hardware related issues based out of our Mississauga ON office.

What You Will Do

Coordinates prioritizes and resolves issues encountered by customers.

• Analyze system failures identify and restore equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Performs a variety of duties including but not limited to servicing operating maintaining repairing and removing equipment.
• Conducts technical analysis of product implementations modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications.
• Manages technical products services logistics and provisioning quantity surveying and configurations to assigned customers.
• Troubleshoots technical problems and recommends actions to company or customer representatives.
• Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
• Install & maintain digital wireless communication equipment in the VHF UHF 800 MHz bands operating on trunking or conventional modes
• Install & Maintain dispatch console systems.
• Manages statement of work to meet customer and contract requirements.
• Contacts customer collects feedback and establishes and maintains good relationship with customers.
• Will communicate and interact both verbally and written with English speaking customers
• Travel 30
• Will be working to various locations where valid Canadian citizenship valid drivers license and vehicle are required.
• Monday to Friday workdays with rotational on call
• Applicants will be subject to a government security screening

Qualifications You Must Have

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
• Experience working in the RF field
• Basic troubleshooting skills and knowledge of how to use RF testing equipment.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Network or Electronics Technical degree
• Be selfmotivated and able to work effectively both in a team environment and under minimal supervision in the field.
• Completion of a practical course in the RF Radio & Electronics
• Completion of a practical course in CompTIA A or equivalent
