You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailResponsibilities include but are not limited to: Operate maintain repair and diagnose building infrastructure systems and equipment along with portable equipment. Examples include HVAC refrigeration boilers chillers electrical gas air vacuum plumbing building automation fire detection/suppression grounds maintenance and building electronic systems. May complete Preventive Maintenance per policies and/or procedures following the CMMS timeline ensuring regulatory compliance. The Preventative Maintenance duties may include belt replacement lubrication filter changing and pressure washing inside of air handling equipment. Respond investigate and solve all emergency and repair calls received. Communicate well with others and thoroughly document activities using our work order system. Communication with on call maintenance staff as necessary. May be required to work with others in planning and scheduling for modifications and repairs to systems with minimal disruption to the mission of our organization while meeting fiscal constraints. Is alert to all aspects of equipment when responding to customer requests and communicates concern to appropriate personnel. Oncall rotation may be required. Maximum response times for oncall determined per campus location. May be required to work weekends. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possesses excellent human relations skills to interact with staff visitors and patients. Serves as a resource and mentor to others.
Senior Building Maintenance Technicians who meet the requirements of an Assistant Chief Engineer will be expected to accept promotion into an Assistant Chief Engineer role.

Associates degree or a twoyear degree from a technical college related to a Building Infrastructure System maintenance program or completion of a oneyear trade specific program. Three years of field service experience related to the skills associated with Building Infrastructure Systems. Four years of military experience in a related field will be considered in lieu of the educational and field service experience requirements. Preferred: Experience working with Computers and various building control systems. Experience related to the skills associated with building infrastructure systems. Electrical or Plumbing License helpful.

A Minnesota Special Engineer Boilers License is required upon hire.
A Minnesota 2nd class C Boiler License required upon hire
An ASSE 6040 Certificate is required within 12 months of hire
A Minnesota 1st class C Boiler License is required within 3 years of hire
A Minnesota Chief C Boiler License is required within 5 years of hire
Owatonna additional requirements: Universal Refrigeration Certificate and A Minnesota Special Engineer Boilers License is required or achievable within 6 months.
Cannon Falls and Lake City additional requirements: A Minnesota 1st class C Boiler License required upon hire. An ASSE 6040 Certificate is required within 12 months of hire.
Red Wing additional requirements: A Minnesota Special Engineer Boilers License is required upon hire A Minnesota 2nd class C Boiler License required upon hire An ASSE 6040 Certificate is required within 12 months of hire A Minnesota 1st class C Boiler License is required within 3 years of hire A Minnesota Chief C Boiler License is required within 5 years of hire.
Albert Lea/Austin additional requirements: A Minnesota 1st class B Boiler License is required upon hire. An ASSE 6040 Certificate is required within 12 months of hire. Must be registered as a Minnesota Registered Unlicensed Electrician within 90 days of hire.
