Job Description
LICENSE/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Masters degree from an accredited social work program.
- Minnesota state licensed LGSW or LICSW
- Knowledge of Community Resources.
- Experience providing crisis intervention.
- Two years experience with counseling in a health care related setting or two years experience in a pediatricrelated setting or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or oncall work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking a casual clinical social worker (LGSW or LICSW) to support critical social work coverage on a casual as needed basis on either campus or within our specialty clinics. Clinical social workers provide support to patients and families facing unexpected admissions trauma grief/loss end of life barriers to discharge and basic needs. Pediatric social workers provide these services to children 018 years of age and their families.
Weekday shifts during the hours of 8 AM4:30 PM are available.
Casual positions have no set schedule. Shift availability depends on current staffing levels sick time maternity leave vacations etc. Picking up a minimum of 2 shifts per month is required.
The Social Work Department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services help with adjustment issues grief and loss counseling mental health assessments case coordination community advocate support and shortterm therapeutic interventions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Psychosocial Assessment and Intervention:Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families. Develop and implement intervention plans to address identified needs. Provide counseling and support to patients and families throughout the illness trajectory
DecisionMaking Support:Help families navigate complex medical decisionmaking processes. Advocate for patient and family preferences in care planning.
Community Resource Navigation:Connect families with community resources (e.g. financial assistance respite care support groups). Collaborate with schools faith communities and other organizations to support patients and families.
Education and Advocacy:Educate patients families and staff about the psychosocial aspects of pediatric palliative care. Advocate for patient and family needs within the healthcare system and the broader community.
Equitable Care:Provide culturally sensitive care respecting diverse beliefs and practices. Assist in resolving cultural conflicts that may arise in care planning.
