- A strong technical background ideally in either advertising or video technology with experience in high traffic low latency SLAs
- Proven ability to execute complex highimpact projects managing multiple priorities in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across teams and functions.

What Youll Do
As an Engineering Manager you will lead a team of talented engineers in designing developing and scaling Wayfairs nextgeneration video advertising platform. You will:
- Build and lead a highperforming engineering team fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and technical excellence.
- Define and execute the technical strategy for scalable highperformance video adserving solutions.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and guide roadmap decisions including product management data science and ad operations to shape the roadmap and deliver impactful solutions.
- Drive and delivery managing priorities timelines and stakeholder expectations in a fastpaced evolving environment.
- Ensure engineering best practices driving initiatives around software quality scalability and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and grow engineers providing technical guidance and career development opportunities.
We Are A Match Because
- 5 years of experience managing software engineers facilitating career growth and project delivery
- Extensive experience communicating and reporting KPIs and project status to senior management
- 8 years of experience in backend software engineering using object oriented language and preferably Java
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working with relational and nonrelational databases
- Experience working with eventdriven architectures DDD and TDD
- Mastery of some flavor of modern frontend frameworks and technologies like React Redux etc
- Experience in Big Data technologies like Apache Kafka/Apache spark/Nosql databases
- Preferred experience in the CI/CD tools/platforms like Buildkite/Docker/Kubernetes.
- Experience with Cloud Native architecture platforms like Google Cloud AWS or Azure.
- Experience in system monitoring using tools like DataDog etc.
