In the frame of our clientsprocurement of its new satellite generation we arelooking for an experienced Payload and RF engineer to join their resident team in the manufacturing facilities.
This program is essential to our clientsdevelopment of theirGlobal Express and ELERA offers and we are looking for selfmotivated individuals to provide expert guidance and leadership with regard to all aspects of advanced satellite communications payload engineering.
Key responsibilities:
- Support communications payload design and development activities as a member of the Satellite Program Team
- Participate in satellite development design integration and test reviews to ensure that our clients requirements are fulfilled. Challenge design option to ensure best performances when applicable
- Monitor Units development qualification manufacturing and testing
- Manage contractor for timely resolution on communications subsystem technical problems
- Create close links with the Suppliers team to allow efficient and transparent communication
- Support the London based operational team as required
- Provide timely reporting to management for critical and routine activities
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Strongexperience in communications payload design manufacture and test from equipment level through to spacecraft level
- Solid experience in payload design particular emphasis on mobileoriented communications payload technology digital payloads and multispot architectures.
- Indepth understanding and handson experience for the testing of communications equipment communications payloads and spacecraft
- Indepth knowledge of all technologies associated with Processed communications payloads including Digital Payload processors active antennas SSPAs frequency generators etc.
- Indepth knowledge of onboard digital channelization and beamforming including Ground architecture and operational aspects
- The ability to discuss and contribute to the mechanical and thermal aspects
- Payload and RF Hardware experience (unit level technologies quality and anomaly process) as well as Antenna design knowledge will be a bonus
- Working language English. French knowledge would be a plus
- Acts within her or his circle of competence and knows the boundary
Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
- Good knowledge and understanding of satellite design assembly integration & test
- Objective rational and multidisciplinary thinking
- A demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries
- Willingness to travel to all supplier locations
- Flexibility to relocate place of work potentially across different continents (midterm)
- A high degree of integrity in particular at premises of all suppliers
- Ability to face up to problems quickly and take action
