Position Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for supporting all area PLS store locations. The candidate will initiate perform and oversee preventative maintenance and repair procedures. He/she will also oversee small improvement projects and services as needed. This position will report directly toDirectorof Operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Initiate perform and oversee maintenance projects for all area PLS store locations.
- Perform repairs such as basic electrical plumbing carpentry and painting assignments.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform necessary repairs.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed and in a timely manner.
- Develop scopes of work for small improvements/services and seek out qualified contractors to bid the work.
- Obtain estimates for supplies repair parts and order parts as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- 1 to 2 years of related experience in facility maintenance.
- Previous experience with basic electrical and carpentry repairs simple plumbing and painting.
- Must have a valid Drivers License a good driving record and reliable transportation.
- Available to work an8hourshift 40 hours a week.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Travel within PLS business market area of NW Indiana Indianapolis Indiana & Louisville Kentucky
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. without frequent assistance.
- Must be able to climb up and down ladders and stand or stoop for long periods of time.
