IMEG is growing and wed love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Field Technician in our Peoria IL office. The Field Technician will be responsible for performing routine tasks as directed by theConstruction Manager. As a first level trainee work is checked by others in process and upon
completion. The Construction Project Manager may assign the technician to a constructionproject to serve as a construction observer to make field measurements documentationentries and read & interpret plans.
Principal Responsibilities
Basic field inspection testing and documentation
Duties may also include on site or laboratory testing of soils concrete and hot mixasphalt
Attend training to achieve various certifications
Operate company vehicles
Maintain equipment and vehicles
Observe safety and security procedures
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations tocustomers clients and other employees of the organization
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using wholenumbers common fractions and decimal
Ability to read a tape measure in both fractions and tenth
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished inwritten oral or diagram form
Must be able to work as part of a team
Must always maintain professional conduct
Valid drivers license required with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier
Advanced/Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to WordExcel and Outlook
Ability to travel up to X% with occasional overnight stays
Education and Experience
Associates degree or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineeringpreferred
Prior experience in the building design consulting or construction industry preferred
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit walk stand talk see hear and lift objects up to 25 pounds
Occasionally required to drive kneel stoop crouch crawl reach with hands or armsand grasp or pull
Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises
Salary Range $. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
