What We Need:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer passionate about serverside development! This is a role with a broad remit where your expertise with distributed systems and compute scale will go hand in hand with your passion for efficient databases and deep love of crafting highperformance serverside applications. As our server engineer you will have a meaningful impact on our games ability to bring high quality experiences to our players.
What You Will Do:
- Develop maintain and expand server side gameplay features for WWE 2K
- Write clean robust readable welldocumented and efficient code that can be easily understood
- Proactively plan and complete assignments supporting a diverse and extensive codebase
- Demonstrate the assignment and technology flexibility required to assist adjacent teams in an Agile team environment and contribute as a leader to the processes
Who Will Be A Great Fit:
- Extensive experience writing server backend code
- Expertise in Python PHP or Perl with an emphasis on Python
- Skilled in SQL with MySQL
- Proficient in C and understanding of objectoriented programming
- Understanding of distributed and scalable systems
- Experience with multithreaded programming
- Background in content management pipelines and managing large data sets
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with online gaming architecture a plus
- Experience with videogame console development is advantageous
- Love for video games (not just ours!
The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $122400 and $157300 per year. However base pay offered is based on market location and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates such as jobrelated knowledge skills experience and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a bonus and/or equity awards in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired employee will be in an atwill position and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
