Other Conditions:

For placement in lecturer applicant pool beginning Spring 2023. Positions are parttime temporary nontenure and contingent upon course offerings sufficient student enrollment position clearance and availability of funds. May be for day evening or weekend offerings on and offcampus (e.g. clinical settings).

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Teach up to 12 credit hours equivalent of Aeronautical Science courses per semester.
2. Assist in managing the Aeronautical Sciences degree program. May be called upon to provide support in teaching simulator courses.
3. Participate in ongoing course and curriculum development activities in the program and college as a whole.
4. May be called upon to assist in overseeing the flight simulator maintenance program.
5. Assist in course scheduling syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress.
6. Maintain a minimum of five office hours per week and advise students.
7. Participate and engage in CAFNRM/University/community service activities

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university a
2. Minimum of 4 years of experience as a FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) may be required for some courses.
3. Evidence of involvement with a University Aeronautical Sciences program.
4. Possession of current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) CFI and ATP licenses may be required for some courses.
5. Demonstrated ability to teach at the college level including handson courses.
6. Demonstrated experience in program management and community outreach.
