  1. JOB PURPOSE

(Provide an overview of the job its context in the organization and the contribution that it makes)

  1. Maintaining the serviceability of Airfield pavements and Buildings to ensure the serviceability and condition of installations.

  1. Effective on field implementing of SOPs to improve the maintenance standards of installations.

  1. Support in ensuring the serviceability of the installations in compliance to state and statutory requirements.

  1. A clear clean distress free Airfield Pavement is the minimum requirement for smooth and safe operations.

Monitoring and supervision of the OPEX/CAPEX.

Reporting and assisting:

  • Planning for Daily activities for weekly maintenance slot Work force Material consumption Vehicle requirements etc.

  • Organizing all required resources for .

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Corrective Maintenance and Emergency Maintenance of the entire airfield civil infrastructure.

Implementing remedial measures during operational periods following the procedures with NOTAM.

  • Ensuring the work quality according to the technical requirements and approvals.

  • Monitor and supervision of the CAPEX OPEX work. Preparation of CAPEX works progress report ensuring the QA/QC.
    • Preparation of Estimates Bills Taking the Joint measurements.

  • Verifying and documentation of all the Inspected and executed works data updating the data with close outs and preparing the hard copy as required.

    • Follow up of defects and forwarding of weekly monthly defects reports.

  • Evaluation of the Runway Unevenness Texture depth Friction Testing Geo technical testing surveying measuring of various parameters for compliance reporting.

  • Using precision instruments like Retro reflectometer spectrophotometer detector microscope dry film thickness Gauge prismatic Compass Abney levels magnifier etc.

Working under the guidance of Deputy Maintenance Manager. Maintain and carry out inspection of Airside pavements / buildings as per schedule.

NonFinancial(Eg: No. of direct/ indirect reports headcount in projects no. of clients handled etc.

  • Handling outsourcing team size about 35 members including operators skilled & unskilled manpower.
  • 3 Supervisor / Lab Technician

  • 18 Semiskilled / Unskilled
  • Handling contractors representatives team size about 36 members while executing the Capex and Opex works on Airfield.

  1. JOB SPECIFICATION

5.1. Education qualification and certifications(Indicate the level of education and certifications required)

  • Diploma/BE Civil Engineering
  • Auto CAD / MS Office applications.

5.2. Years of Experience Years of relevant experience required)

  • 2 years of experience in Airport/ Civil infrastructure Industry at supervisory level.
  • 4 years of experience in construction or Maintenance of civil infrastructure preferably in road and airport sectors.

5.3. Computer skills(Indicate the required knowledge on software applications hardware etc. that are required)

  • MS Office
  • MS Access

5.4. Knowledge and work skillsIndicate what knowledge (machines equipment processes systems etc. and work skills are required

Well versed with construction & maintenance of pavement and buildings. Aware of statutory requirements specific to airfield installations. Should be able to maintain the critical pavements to ensure safe operational installations
