Position Description: The Division of Pediatric Pathology at Childrens Wisconsin (CW) within the Department of Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW is seeking a fulltime Open Rank Faculty/Pediatric Anatomic Pathologist.This position includes a fulltime faculty appointment in the Department of Pathology at MCW at a rank and salary commensurate with experience.MCW offers our faculty an enriching environment with myriad administrative clinical educational & research opportunities spanning the whole spectrum of academic pediatric pathology. The pediatric oncology program sees approximately 4050 new solid tumor diagnoses 6070 new hematopoietic malignancies and robustly enrolls patients in Childrens Oncology Group and other clinical trials. CWis designated as a Level I Childrens Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons and has active heart liver & kidney transplant programs. CW is also only the third pediatric hospital in the country designated as a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence. Responsibilities:
The Division of Pediatric Pathology offers services in anatomic pathology hematopathology flow cytometry molecular testing clinical chemistry & microbiology. It offers subspecialty expertise in hematopathology cytopathology pediatric solid tumor pathology vascular malformations & perinatal/placental pathology. Divisional faculty are strongly involved in the activities & leadership of the Childrens Oncology Group & Society for Pediatric Pathology. The division has an ACGMEaccredited pediatric pathology fellowship program and AP/CP residents routinely rotate on service. It annually handles over 7000 surgical pathology & cytopathology specimens 150 bone marrow specimens 950 placentas & 60 autopsies. The CW Laboratory performs over 900000 tests at its main lab & 3 additional satellite laboratories.
