Job Description
South Hill School Age Program Teachers Aide
Job Summary:
Assist Team Teachers and Directors in implementing afterschool program activities and daily schedule.
Pay Rate: $16.50
Main Contact: Hope Borsic (Student Employment Specialist)
Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of groups and individuals.
Assist with daily activities such as outdoor and gym activities group and individual projects homework snack and quiet time.
Participate in program planning and implementing lesson plans.
Enforce program rules and guidelines and help children resolve conflicts.
Assist and supervise children with cleanup.
Ensure orderliness and security of the area and equipment.
Maintain cooperative relationships with all school and Program personnel.
Be conscientious in maintaining building security and ensuring children are respectful of school property.
Discuss childrens progress and needs with other staff members and consult with Directors on discipline problems.
Attend Staff Orientation and complete required training.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Passion for childhood development
Ability to work as part of a team
Experience working with schoolage children
Good decisionmaking abilities
Ability to share interests and creativity with children
Responsible enthusiastic reliable patient and compassionate
