The Lenexa KS Interiors manufacturing facilityis seeking an Accounting and Cost Manager to join theFinance team. The position entails general accounting support overseeing journal entries and reconciliations of the Finance team as well as the daytoday work of one employee. The Accounting and Cost Manager will be a focal point for the business ensuring that the site is supported while following internal controls. They will be the lead in Finance for process changes as well as any internal or external audit. This role requires strong analytical skills the ability to work with detailed data complex problemsolving abilities creativity and effective time and resource management skills.
This position is a hybrid role in Lenexa KS. Current expectations would be to work onsite 23 days per week. However the amount of onsite days per week could fluctuate and is flexible depending on business needs.
What You Will Do:
- The Account and Cost Manager is uniquely positioned to support the Oxygen and Inserts businesses located in Lenexa KS.
- Reviews and approves General Ledger accounting entries
- Perform balance sheet / quarterly accounting reviews ensuring controls are followed
- Responsible for standard cost updates
- Reviews and analyzes monthly production variances
- Monitor accounting control environment to ensure compliance and adherence to corporate policies and procedures
- Deliverables to internal or external parties as required.
- Site focal for audits completed by internal and external parties
- Ad hoc projects and continued process improvements
- Apply conceptual knowledge and prior experience to isolate and resolve issues
- Serves as a technical resource regarding system generated financial data (SAP)
- Development and presentation of highly effective communications
- Flexibility to work longer hours during peak time
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively brief management at all levels and collaborate across teams.
- Foster a serviceoriented professional demeanor especially in sensitive or challenging situations while maintaining a positive and solutionsfocused approach.
- Utilize strong analytical planning and organizational skills to identify problems propose effective solutions and drive results.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree 12 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: with and knowledge of current enterprise finance and accounting systems such as: ERP System (i.e. SAP/JDE etc. and month end close procedures
- Experience and familiarity with US GAAP Accounting
- Cost Accounting experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills
- Experience with HFM/OneStream
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
