Job Description
Join the CentraCare team as a Medical Assistant in Correctional Care at Wright County Jail in Buffalo MN.
CentraCare is now hiring a casual Medical Assistant to provide medical care for incarcerated individuals at the Wright County jail in Buffalo MN. The MA will be a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides medical services for inmates within the jail. Inmates may need mental health care addiction medicine services (including detoxification) basic care for general or acute illnesses or injuries maternity care medication management and much more.
Schedule:
- Casual minimum of 16 hours every 4 weeks.
Pay:
- Pay range $17.95 to $26.94 depending on years of experience.
- Plus 6 jail premium and evening and weekend differentials.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
- American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy.
- Ability to understand patients medical records physician orders and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and staff.
- BCA and county background check required.
