Leap29 have partnered with a leading European IPP who are seeking an experienced Origination Manager to join their team in Paris France.
This role involves developing and managing longterm energy contracts particularly PPAs and working closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver innovative renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and develop renewable energy contracts including PPAs tailored to large energy consumers in France.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform the development of new energy products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including large electricity buyers and suppliers.
- Lead the negotiation and of complex energy contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams including portfolio management risk analysis and legal to support deal structuring and approval.
- Assist in project evaluations by contributing to prefeasibility and feasibility assessments.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry developments.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Economics Finance Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 510 years of experience in energy markets with a focus on renewable energy and/or the French power market.
- Prior experience with PPAs structured energy transactions or similar longterm contracts is essential.
- Strong understanding of European energy market particularly within France.
- Proven ability to develop and negotiate complex energy contracts.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with fluency in French and English.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools including MS Office; familiarity with GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS QGIS) is an advantage.
Location:This role is based in Paris but can be open to hybrid arrangements across France with potential travel required.
