WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Master Packer will place finished good products into mastercartons / trays for shipping in a timely manner. Ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety quality standards are met. Also observing all safety regulations.

• Ensure that proper packaging supplies (bags/trays)/ IFCOs/cartons are in positioned to the workstation
• Obtain trays/IFCOs/ cartons from chute and place on worktable
• Manually obtain finished bags of product from conveyor and place into mastercarton/ tray / IFCO according to proper stack pattern
• Push full bags/ trays/ IFCOs / cartons on to conveyor
• Ensure that product is packed properly and watch the seal printing code date and pin hole
• Count bags as they are packed to ensure that the proper quantity is packed
• Remove defective bags from pack line and place into rework totes
• Ensure that product with labels are properly labeled on both sides
• Notify supervisor of any objects found in or on product or any pest being sighted
• Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School/GED or one to three months of experience in related field or combination of both education and experience

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret safety operating and maintenance documents
• Ability to accurately write routine reports and simple correspondence
• Knowledge of basic mathematical concepts
• Flexible schedule as production requires

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three months to six months experience in a production facility
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to ascend and descend ramps steps ladders stairs using threepoint contact
• Environment exposure hot/humid conditions 95 or above).
• Environmental exposure cold/wet conditions 40 or below)
• Material exposuremoving mechanical parts
• Ability to lift carry push and/pull up to 30 lbs.
• Stand for prolonged periods of time; occasionally stoop bend kneel crouch reach and twist
• Capable of repeating repetitive motions

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

• 1st Shift 6:30am 3:30pm; Monday Friday. Occasionally Saturdays/SundayRotating schedules weekends holidays and overtime may be mandatory based on business needs.
