Job Description

Overview

High School Equivalency Instructor Salary $42500 year 6 month position ending 6/30/2025

Deliver GED curriculum to youth participants and assist in career planning activities.

Responsibilities

  • Administer assessment instruments and compile participant assessment data
  • Facilitate group learning activities
  • Ensure participants gain necessary information to successfully obtain a GED (Math Science Social Studies and Reading/ Language Art)
  • Provide one on one and group tutoring
  • Manage classroom behaviors in accordance with student participation agreement
  • Assist Youth Advocates in completion of their tasks
  • Provide timely reports for the Program Manager regarding attendance and performance
  • Facilitate workshops in a creative and innovative manner
  • This position requires working Monday through Friday up to 40 hours a week
  • Maintain communication with Partners
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in training education or career development
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
  • Experience in a teamoriented environment
  • Bachelors degree in education training human resources liberal arts or related area is preferred
