Job Description
Overview
High School Equivalency Instructor Salary $42500 year 6 month position ending 6/30/2025
Deliver GED curriculum to youth participants and assist in career planning activities.
Responsibilities
- Administer assessment instruments and compile participant assessment data
- Facilitate group learning activities
- Ensure participants gain necessary information to successfully obtain a GED (Math Science Social Studies and Reading/ Language Art)
- Provide one on one and group tutoring
- Manage classroom behaviors in accordance with student participation agreement
- Assist Youth Advocates in completion of their tasks
- Provide timely reports for the Program Manager regarding attendance and performance
- Facilitate workshops in a creative and innovative manner
- This position requires working Monday through Friday up to 40 hours a week
- Maintain communication with Partners
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in training education or career development
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
- Experience in a teamoriented environment
- Bachelors degree in education training human resources liberal arts or related area is preferred
