Job Description

ERGs Facilities Planning and Engineering team is seeking construction technicians with experience working on facilities projects such as interior or exterior building renovations building repairs (e.g. roof or HVAC replacement) and modifications or repairs to utilities and infrastructure. These will be fulltime onsite positions working closely with project management teams to support the full duration of construction including commissioning. Successful candidates will join our growing team of professionals who focus on quality work and fostering collaborative longterm relationships with our clients and within our team.
Job Description:
- Assist in the planning and of construction projects
- Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards
- Conduct material testing for strength density durability etc. and ensure they meet project and industry standards
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records
- Document any deviations or changes relative to blueprints and building plans
- Conduct onsite investigations and analyze data (maps reports tests drawings and other)
- Inspect project sites and oversee contractor activities to ensure compliance with building and safety codes
- Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications
- Provide daytoday operations support such as coordinating access for construction contractors
- Liaise with any consultants subcontractors supervisors planners quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
- Participate in project meetings to provide progress updates and report any issues
- These positions will befulltime at the federal site in Indian Head MD and will include interaction and support from ERG personnel at the federal site as well as from ERGs Chantilly and Arlington offices
- Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington DC 25 miles from Alexandria VA and 60 miles from Fredericksburg VA
- Alternative work schedules may be considered
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least five years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders
- Excellent verbal/written communication problemsolving conflict resolution and decisionmaking skills
- Experience with designbuild engineeringprocurementconstruction and designbidbuild types of construction projects
- Experience with vertical new construction building renovation and civil/site infrastructure construction projects
- Experience with construction building codes and permitting processes
- Expertise with at least one of the following but preferably all: HVAC mechanical plumbing electrical
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance
$75000 $120000 a year
