You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailGENERAL SUMMARY: The Senior Project Manager position is primarily responsible for overseeing all architectural aspects of the development of the design production of construction documents and specifications and the overall management of the project team. Typically works 34 or more projects simultaneously.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish project objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve them; responsible for deliverables outlined in the scope
Establish facilitate and/or participate in both client and internal meetings; Interface with clients throughout each project and manage relationships to ensure customer satisfaction
Coordinate the submission of documents to the building department and manage onsite construction administration (RFIs RFPs shop drawings submittals etc.
Lead direct and coordinate team members and consultants from project inception through completion
Manage project team assigning staff mentoring staff and making authoritative decisions and recommendations of significant impact related to project
Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with Principal or Project Manager and other disciplines
Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule
Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
Write/edit architectural specifications and work directly with owner and owners legal staff to establish and document the legal parameters of the construction contract
Prepare and review all construction documents for accuracy; coordinate documents with internal team members and external consultants
Lead field survey teams as needed for development and documentation of current conditions Demonstrate and utilize working knowledge of lighting HVAC structural plumbing fire protection and electrical design as well as of relevant codes including IBC CBC ADA Title 24 and BOMA calculation concepts
Coordinate and assist affected disciplines with any addendum RFIs and change orders; incorporate agreed upon changes into project documents
Maintain an awareness and understanding of project schedules design fees project budgets reimbursable costs etc. while adhering to pricing strategy agreed upon by client and contractors
Exude a collaborative and positive attitude in working with the Production Team and foster an atmosphere for learning and professional growth
Maintain organize and archive project files during and at the close of a project
Perform administrative functions as needed including Project and Team Management using software tools (DelTek) monitors time and budget regularly and advises Leadership as required
Assist with other duties as necessary (i.e. site visits record drawings code research etc.
Maintain MVE & Partners standards of performance and policies atalltimes
Participate in generating Proposals RFPs Charrettes Design Competitions and other Business Development activities
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
Licensed Architect in California
NCARB Certified preferred
15 years of experience in a professional office setting including broad experience in various project types and phases preferred
Proficient in operating CADD Revit SketchUp Photoshop Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office
Strong listening oral/verbal and written communication time management and organizational skills required Strong skills in reading comprehension to understand the content in workrelated documents
Skills in applying industry standards and graphic conventions data to the organization and arrangement of information (i.e. plans elevations sections etc. to formulate a unified presentation
Skill in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to brainstorm and formulate alternatives
Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a given action to evaluate potential outcomes and implement solutions
Skill in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problemsolving and decisionmaking
