Interprets explains and complies with negotiated contracts prescribed laws rules regulations and procedures. Research analyze and retrieve data to prepare and maintain complex payroll records summaries and reports. Reconcile differences within established payroll benefit retirement and accounting systems using critical analysis skills. Develop systems and processes through project management methodologies of testing and implementation of new or modified payroll/timekeeping components.
*This position is a 100 remote work. Individual may live anywhere in the US.

BA/BS in Finance Accounting and/or Management with a minimum of 5 years advanced payroll experience an Associates Degree in Finance Accounting and/or Management with a minimum of 7 year advanced payroll experience or HS Diploma/GED and a minimum of 9 years of advanced payroll experience. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Problem solving/decision making. Strong computer skills including experience with spreadsheets required. Knowledge of federal and state statutes and regulations pertaining to Payroll and Tax reporting preferred.
Ability to support multiple concurrent projects prioritize project demands facilitate project planning meetings meet tight deadlines and escalate effectively as necessary in order to meet project timelines to manage and mitigate project risks. Responsible for projects and initiatives that are politically charged and cross functional departmental and system boundaries. This requires an individual who is selfdirected can effectively multitask thrives in an unstructured environment and handles ambiguity well.
Analytical ability to break down a problem or situation into its component parts identifying implications timeframes and sequences while remaining cognitive of the big picture. Strong knowledge of payroll/timekeeping best practices and methodologies. Train and coordinate the work of other staff assigned to the section/department.
Inspire trust and confidence communicate effectively with internal and external audiences and demonstrate outstanding customer relations. Must be able to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Understand customer needs in relationship with Finance Supply Chain Accounts Payable HR Systems off Campus sites and numerous ThirdParty vendors and meet their needs in a responsive manner.
