SME Project Manager
Xcelerate Solutions is seeking SME Project Manager to support the Defense Logistic Agency DLA mission. As a SME Project Manager you will manage and work with a technical team consisting of engineers developers and analysts as you sustain and enhance a newly delivered system that verifies dates and conditions of employment of overseas visa candidates through a secure web portal. Responsibilities:
- Sustainment: Keep the system operating smoothly and securely including application administration help desk issue management support configuration management and instance management support (sustainment) .
- Enhancement: Keep the system operating with upto date upgrades and change requests in a manner consistent with product owner policies to include application maintenance patch and upgrade management technical infrastructure maintenance change request management and O&M Operating Procedures Maintenance.
- Oversees all aspects of the contractors support of all tasks including planning organizing staffing directing integrating and controlling activities necessary for all tasks to meet schedule and performance requirements.
- Manages all daytoday operations including administrative functions assessing risks identifying assumptions and resolving interpersonal conflicts.
- Responsible for the duties tasks and activities required to make the program/project successful.
- Actively participates in the management decisionmaking process.
Minimum Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree
- 10 years of experience in IT/logistics project or program management.
- Experience in DoD logistics functions (e.g. finance supply contract administration transportation project management).
- Exceptional communication and management skills who can engage with leadership Policy leadership regarding issues related to the client system application.
- Experience using MS Project.
- Possess an active Project Management certification (i.e. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification other recognized certification etc..
