You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacys Division of Health Outcomes is recruiting for a Tenured or TenureTrack Open Rank faculty member who will also serve as Director and PI for the PhARM Program.
The PhARM program addresses systemic barriers inequities and stigma related to evidencebased substance use disorder treatment and harmreduction intervention. The future Director will be an integral leader of these efforts ensuring innovative research education resources and engagement from people with lived experience health professionals paraprofessionals academics and community members. The College is seeking a motivated and innovative faculty member to lead this research and educational programming that facilitates each patient or community members ability to achieve optimal health wellbeing recovery and choice. The Director is responsible for advancing scientific discovery and implementation education and collaborations with other UT System academic collaborators community organizations federal/state/local agencies and partners. A strong commitment to collaboration innovation scholarly teaching and scientific discovery to advance the schools mission are essential. The Director position requires alignment with our culture of excellence innovation respect accountability and leadership.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and/or Pharm.D. with strong academic credentials and have a distinguished record of research teaching and service sufficient to be appointed as a tenured or tenurestream in the College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin including careerstage appropriate funding excellence in teaching and student mentorship. Preferred candidates will have earned a Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE accredited program plus a Ph.D. degree or evidence of equivalent research experience. The candidate will be expected to compete for independent and collaborative funding from public and private sources in support of their research program and following a startup period be able to support a minimum of 25 of their annual salary from extramural funding awards. Applicants wishing to be considered for appointment as an Associate Professor must have evidence of sustained extramural funding and a strong publication track record as a Principal Investigator equivalent with awarding of tenure at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. The director is expected to develop and sustain a research program with extramural funding as well as assume leadership of the Colleges PhARM program.
