Responsibilities:
- Design and create new process flow and work instructions with the correct process lead times capacity analysis and resources (machines and labor).
- Assist in the development and implementation of advanced production processes and tooling methodologies.
- Develop and execute engineering evaluation plans for experimental or analysis of new materials new processes or new improvements.
- Resolve technical process problems of significant impact to performance cost or schedule.
- Review analyze and coordinate the implementation of methods and procedures to control and improve manufacturing processes. Assist in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
- Implement and maintain process FMEA (Failure mode and effect analysis) on all DG core processes in the effort to mitigate the risk of process failures and their severity. Maintain DG manufacturing best practice database and workmanship standard.
- Interpret company policies and maintain safety and quality standards.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management
- Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director
Education level required:
- Bachelors or MS Degree in Mechanical Aerospace Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment working with assembly processes
- Demonstrate mechanical ability and knowledge of various manufacturing methods fabrication processes (e.g. composites structures forming stamping machining heat treatment machines/machine tools cutting tools and fluids Numerical Control programming instrumentation and control systems). Ability to select the best method of producing parts tools or assemblies.
- Strong Analytical Skills and ability to collect organize synthesize and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
- Ability to multitask prioritize
- Proven leadership abilities and strong written & verbal communication
- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills in English
