Job Description
Meadowview of Johnston a senior community in Johnston Iowa has a wonderful opportunity for an experienced RN Assistant Director of Health Services (ADHS)to join our team. Our 106unit campus includesindependent living 46units) assisted living 39units) and memory care 21units) options for our residents.As the Registered Nurse Assistant Director of Health Services you will report to the Director of Health Services and work together to ensure the residents care plans are being implemented.Hours for this position are 8:00am 4:30pm whichincludes being on call and taking calls for staffing.
RN Assistant Director of Health Services responsibilities:
- Assesses plans implements and evaluates care plans for residents.
- Recognizes and manages common geriatric syndromes common to aging adults: cardiovascular respiratory urinary neurological sensory and pain problems.
- Supervises work performed by clinical department
- Displays a courteous attitude and respect for all residents families and staff.
- Administers medications and/or treatments in accordance with physicians orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
- Manages medications supplies and equipment including ordering receiving storing and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Documents care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
- Notifies Clinical Manager attending physicians and family members of significant changes in a residents condition and takes follow up action as necessary.
- MUST have 1 year of AL experience.
- Current Iowa Registered Nurse license required.
- Assisted Living / Memory Care experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work autonomously
- Follow up effectively and prioritize task efficiently
- Current Minnesota Registered Nurse license required.
- Assisted Living / Memory Care experience preferred.
