Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and flexible individual to lead our DirecttoConsumer Smart Home initiative. This role requires someone who can wear multiple hats and drive the transition from professional installation services to consumerled installations.

The Manager will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for smart home products including lights locks thermostats home monitoring systems video surveillance doorbell cameras and more. The ideal candidate will oversee every aspect of the sales process from installation guidance to postpurchase support while also creating written and video content to enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the effort to adapt and operationalize smart home products from professional installation to consumerled installation.
  • Develop solutions for smart home systems including but not limited to lights locks thermostats home monitoring video surveillance and doorbell cameras.
  • Oversee sales strategies and guide customers through the installation process.
  • Create and manage content (written and video) to support product education installation guidance and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including marketing product development legal and customer support to enhance the overall consumer experience.
  • Monitor trends and advancements in smart home technology to ensure our product offerings remain cuttingedge and customercentric.
  • Drive customer feedback collection and use insights to improve product offerings and support materials.
  • Initial project management for the startup phase of the new product offering and ongoing responsibility to expand the offering by leveraging hardware and software solutions throughout the enterprise.
  • Work closely with the marketing leader to ensure the customer experience matches the brand promises and customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing consumerfocused technology products ideally within the smart home or IoT space.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience creating engaging written and video content.
  • Technical knowledge of smart home products including installation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A customerfirst mindset focused on delivering excellent support and education to consumers.
